Interview with new orleans musician
I interviewed a New Orleans Musician, Wayne Maureau, to get a first hand experience of how WWOZ supports him. He remarked that WWOZ is a great help with promotion and is a large part of the music community.
The color palette was chosen from a common art style of New Orleans Jazz posters. Bright and colorful just like the music itself.
Music Selection
I chose the song “Parading in the Quarter” on the album Home Grown by Wayne Maureau. This album is all about growing up in New Orleans and the song’s upbeat funky tune shows off New Orleans best.
Concept Sketches
Voice Over
Wayne Maureau did the voice over for the PSA. We recorded multiple versions in time to the music.
Concept
The font Portofino was chosen because of its legibility and jazzy feel.

Script
